Ordered for Sony Xperia xz dual phone and got what ?? Samsung head phone ... its so embarrasing....
It has been a week now that I have been using this gorgeous looking phone with superior build quality, great hardware internals and finally a Sony phone with the camera well done. The software is well optimised, decluttered and pretty straight forward as against some heavily skinned versions on other OEMs. But maybe Sony went a bit too far in cutting off some of the features which were actually helpful as seen in phones of previous generations, as old as 2012 or later. Now coming to the tough part, yes, it is quite disappointing and frustrating to see big brands like these screw up big time on their flagships. The reference here being to a lot of software bugs (maybe hardware too) that have started to show on the device, apparently across all regions. The Xperia XZ page on Sony Support Forums is riddled with various issues, few of which has been reported worldwide, not really something you want hear when shelling out a premium price tag device. Some of the issues most commonly users have been facing are:
1) The double Tap-to-Wake feature is a dud, you will only hurt your fingers tapping forever.
2) The fingerprint scanner is not really serving the purpose. You can set it up but the chances of you unlocking the phone using PIN/Password/Pattern is more than you getting to scan your FP and be led straight to your Home screen.
3) There is a major issue either with video rendering or video codec handling, because irrespective of where or how (YouTube, Facebook, Webpages or video file on phone memory) you are trying to play a video, it is likely to stutter more or not play at all. A restart of the phone only solves the issue temporarily.
My sincere suggestion to prospective buyers, just hold on for a while more and decide. It is definitely a very good phone to buy if only the issues get resolved sooner than later.
Perfect! Worth the price. Although it is a matter of personal opinion, the blue color gives a smudged greasy look. I took the chrome finish instead and loving it... With the XENPAK Nillkin QIN Leather Case Flip Cover for Sony Xperia XZ (Black) protecting it, I doubt one could make a more significant style statement among the mobile aficionados - unless someone's got a mobile with diamonds stuck on a gold body :)
Omg its amazing...speechless... My dad has s7 and xz is faster than it....awesome... Camera is brilliant.. Day light shots are superb..even the best on any smartphones.. Low lights are are also good..and front facing cam is excellent... Best best.!
Camera is really awesome..... As followed by YouTube video reviews the phone is cheap and worth in this range....one morething 64 gb internal is really comfortable..
Finally Sony made a perfect device :-)
I have been a Sony Lover for last 5 years was nearly tempted to buy the Iphone 7. Saw both the phones today and let me tell all, the Sony looks awesome with a great camera and its still photography while moving is terrific. Am buying the Sony.
Awesome phone. Best of Android in terms of software. No glitches and hangs like some other brands in this price range. The 5 axis camera stabilisation technique is remarkable. It even beats the optical stabilisation phones with ease. But very few people know these which make Samsung on the top in Android. Moreover comparing reliability also Sony phones last longer without anu problem. Using my z1 right from its launch (2013) till now no lags. thanks to their neat UI.
If android buy it else buy an apple. Don't waste your money elsewhere at price range.
Design: Simply gorgeous
The back is made from what Sony claims is high purity ALKALEIDO metal, with a slightly curved 2.5D glass on the front. This is huge step up from the all glass backs of previous Sony flagships, and the metal back feels truly premium in the hand. The device has a certain heft to it which makes it feel incredibly solid, like the Nokia Lumia of old.
Display: Bright and punchy
The Xperia XZ bucks the trend of cramming in QuadHD displays in flagship smartphones and makes do with a 1080p LCD display. It comes with Sony’s trademark 'Vivid Mode' and 'X Reality Engine' for colors that truly pop.
Seriously, you will not find any other LCD display that is as vibrant as the one on the Xperia XZ. The display ‘pops’ almost as much as an AMOLED panel. Pixel density aside, the display is a delight to use with punchy colors, great viewing angles and adequate brightness levels. Most will find little to complain with the display of the Xperia XZ, which continues Sony’s legacy of making superb LCD panels.
Hardware/Performance: Beautifully optimised
The Xperia XZ’s spec sheet reads similar to most flagships of 2016 - the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 64GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM and USB Type C for charging and data transfer.
The Snapdragon 820 is a quad-core CPU with two high-performance cores clocked at 2.15GHz and two low-power cores clocked at 1.6GHz. This is a massive upgrade over the Snapdragon 625 found in the Xperia X and the Snapdragon 810 found in the Xperia Z5.
The 820 contains Kyro cores as compared to the Cortex A-57’s in the 810, which account for the dramatic increase in both power and efficiency. The 820 is an extremely capable CPU which will be more than enough to carry you through to 2018. The smartphone flies through day to day tasks like web browsing, social media use and taking the occasional selfie. The XZ is a true testament of the fact that packing in more and more powerful hardware is not necessarily the way forward for smartphones.
Software: Best Android skin out there
All the Android 7.0 Nougat goodies are included such as split window support and the redesigned notification tray. Sony has also added a new pane to the left of the horizontally scrolling app drawer, which shows you your most used apps, allows you to search for applications and also displays recommended apps.
Battery Life: Respectable
The Xperia XZ comes with a 2,900mAh battery which is just about average in today’s day and age. Sony claims the smartphone provides 2-day battery life which is just not true. A day, a day and a half if you use it conservatively is a more accurate estimate.
Camera: A pleasant surprise
The XZ comes with an all new 23MP camera unit on the back which has a 24mm wide angle lens, an aperture of f/2, phase detection auto-focus and an LED flash. What sets the XZ apart from the crowd is what Sony calls a triple image sensing technology. Apart from these, the XZ actually produces decent low light shots, which are perfectly usable and manage to capture quite a lot of detail. The XZ can also shoot 4K videos and the end result is great. Even though the XZ doesn't have Optical Image stabilisation, Sony’s ‘Steady shot’ electronic image stabilisation works surprisingly well.
Price/Verdict: The smartphone Sony was destined to make
The Xperia XZ is available in India for around Rs 48,000 and comes in three color variants, namely Mineral Black, Forest Blue and the shade our review unit came in, Platinum.
To put it very simply, the Xperia XZ is the best smartphone Sony has ever made. It has a gorgeous , sleek and svelte design that feels incredible in the hand, a vivid display, superb cameras, optimised software which is very close to stock Android and great performance.
Well optimised software
Top of the line specs
Overheats a bit
No X factor

I am big Sony fan... have used nearly all sony flagship device, but this one is a beast of all. I know, its bit costly but you get quality, if you can pay for apple why not for sony.
> Device UI is super smooth and fast
>Battery life last for a day with heavy usage. I connect smart band all the time. Play heavy graphics game like asphalt, Mortal Comat, Battlefeild,
>Screen display is super crisp and resolution is awesome
>Has dual speaker, sound is good
>Camera is awesome, still trying to get the best out of it
>the look of the device is premium, afterall it is sony
Now coming to the earset issue, yes it comes with MH 750 not high resolution one, I have already complaint sony for it, still waiting for their feedback.I think we should raise a complain to sony so that we can get some compensation for the mistake. Amazon is just a seller so i dont think, there is any mistake from there side
